Quads, ache....ouch

So I have been to the gym I think 5 times in the last 2 weeks. I think I am totally rocking this but then I write that and realize it's not so hot at all.

My awesome friend has agreed to train me, for free, and help me get my ass in gear. Yea, go me. Free is super, since Jenny is expensive.

So we are doing circuit training and cardio. Last week I took an hour long zumba class before circuit training. And, apparently this class I went to, the teacher is super high in demand so you have to get there an hour before the class to sign up for it. Well, I will never be able to do that because I like to see my family and not live at the gym after work and come home to my kid asleep and my husband ready for bed. So, me and three other ladies who did not get in the class did it from outside the cardio room. Yup, I shoke my big ass in front of the whole gym for an hour, and, I didn't care at all. I came to do the class and I was going to do it.

Friday was my weigh in, normally the first week on a diet you lose a ton of weight, mind you I know this is water weight but still it is motivating. Anyways, I got on the scale and I lost 2.2 pounds. Are you SERIOUS? I told my consultant, there must be something wrong. I am eating 1500 calories, I have been to the gym 3 times this week and worked out like crazy and I only lose 2.2 pounds. I was so dissapointed.

Then I sat and thought about it and realized, thats a perfectly healthy weight loss for one week and I should be proud of what I have done. And if I continue at this rate by my birthday I will reach my goal of 65 pounds, and that is all the motivation I needed!!

So this weekend we did some other exercises, we cleaned out our koi pond filter, which was completely disgusting but carrying those filters from the pond to the front yard was great exercise then we walked all over San Francisco on Sunday, so I definitely was burning calories all weekend.

I clacked on going to the gym this Monday and boy did I get hell for it from my trainer, so in return she mutilated me at the gym on Tuesday night. She had me warm up, um I was tired in the warm up FYI, and do the hardest circuit we have ever done. I thought I was gonna puke half way through but I did it all. And yesterday, I was so sore. It was so brilliant of me to wear heals to work all day to add to my leg pain but WOW, my quads and hamstrings were killing me. So she told me to rest last night. And today, my legs still hurt. I know the second day is always the worst, actually I think I may of been in more pain yesterday, but I think that's because I had on heals.

Anyways, tonight it is back to the gym. And regardless of my whining, she is making me to a circuit and cardio tonight. Tomorrow is my weigh in and I REALLY hope the scale is my friend tomorrow.

First Goal: 10 pounds (Reward: Pedicure)

Second Goal: 25 pounds (Reward: New bathing suit)

Mini-Goal: 45 pounds (Reward: TBD, ideas??)

Third Goal: 65 pounds (Reward: new wardrobe, LOL. Perfectly planned right for my birthday)

Success: Making the gym and or exercise I priority in my life and learning to take time for me.

Set-Backs: I had wine with dinner on Saturday. 2 very large glasses.

Exercise: Most intense circuit of all, and the excitement I am feeling making this a part of my life!
